the 250th anniversary of the first Mass
to be celebrated in New Zealand
by fr Paul-Antoine Léonard de Villefeix OP
on board the sloop Ste. Jean-Baptiste
on Christmas Day, 25th December, 1769.

This commemorative Mass will be celebrated
on Sunday 19th January, 2020 at 11.00 am
in St. Joseph’s Church, 23A Dominion Rd., Kaitaia.
Bishop Pat Dunn, Bishop of Auckland, will be the principal celebrant.
Afterwards there will be a light lunch in the foyer of the Church.
