We had a lovely online gathering this afternoon. Thanks to Margaret for leading us in prayer and to Lyn for leading us in our exploration of key Catholic Social Teaching principles. We gathered in small groups to identify issues that cause us concern today as we head towards an election … concerns included poverty, violence, abortion, non-acceptance of Co-Governance and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, isolation and more. It was an interesting and challenging session as we imagined what ‘peace for all’ might mean – not simply ‘no war’ but so much more! Find out more about Social Justice Week at Caritas Aotearoa.
