Dominicans celebrate Feast Day with a Mass in Auckland

On Wednesday 3 August, the Feast Day of St Dominic, we gathered for a lunchtime Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral.  Bishop Patrick Dunn celebrated the Mass with Fr Kevin Toomey preaching the homily.  Kevin spoke of how the name Dominic says so much of the man we honour today.    You can read the full homily by clicking What’s in a Name 3 August below.  It was a real Dominican Family gathering with Sisters and Friars, lay Dominicans and school students all represented and ministering on the day.   Mass was followed by lunch in Liston Hall. WHAT’S IN A NAME 3 AUGUST We share below photos from this lovely celebration.
