The cover art by Alan Wehipeihana of Paekakariki is sculptured from treacle tins, copper and steel. Alan gave us permission to use his work but was caught in the Vodafone email changeover and couldn’t send it in the usual way. Thankfully Barbara Henley RNDM helped us out. She drove to his studio and sent us the image through her email. Barbara recommends a visit to Alan’s fascinating studio whenever you are in the vicinity.
20 Year Celebration on Friday 10 November:
All subscribers and friends of Tui Motu are invited to our 20th birthday celebration at St Patrick’s, South Dunedin beginning at 5.30pm with refreshments. We will then move into the church for an evening of story and hopes — past and looking to the future. It will help with catering if you can RSVP — firstname.lastname@example.org or 03 477 1449.
Christmas Gift Promotion:
You’ll find a Christmas gift card in your November issue as an encouragement to give a subscription of Tui Motu magazine as a Christmas gift to a family member or friend. If you’d like more cards send us an email/call and we’ll post them to you. This Christmas gift card promotion is an excellent way of increasing our subscription list and we thank you for participating in it.
New Email Addresses:
We thank all those affected by Vodafone’s closure of their email service, for sending us your new email addresses. We hope you continue to hear from us without incidence.
Do enjoy reading the November issue!
